Your Help Urgently Needed to Stop the Galvez Family Deportation
Why this petition matters

We urgently need your help to prevent the splitting up of the Galvez family, Sonia, Alfredo Snr, Alfredo Jnr (25yrs) and his sister Kenny (21yrs) and the unlawful deportation of the children from the UK. They were detained erroneously and are currently being held in Yarl's Wood, Bedford and Brook House, Gatwick centres from which they could be wrongly deported at any time.
The Galvez family originally came to the UK from El Salvador 3 years ago seeking asylum after threats were made to their lives.
Kenny and Alfredo Jnr have done everything asked of them but due to an administrative error they have been detained. Their solicitor has proof that paperwork was received by the Home Office in March but they are being treated as if they have no active claim. As a result of this the Home Office are preparing to deport them which will put these vulnerable young people in extreme danger.
The Galvez family have wholeheartedly embraced their new life in the UK, are regular church goers and volunteers. The family have made an enormous contribution to their local communities. Particularly in tackling severe food poverty across Greater Manchester during the pandemic. The Cracking Good Food Community kitchens would seriously miss them and their contribution where they have helped cook and distribute nearly 100,000 meals during the lockdowns. Kenny and Alfredo are not claiming any assistance from the government as they are sponsored by a family who love them. Their surrogate 3yr old and 6yr old siblings wonder where they have gone and why.
