Reza's deportation flight was cancelled at the last minute on Saturday morning; and we are still trying to find out why. However, only last Tuesday (31st October 2017) a suicide bomber killed a number of civilians, close to the British Embassy in Kabal (See https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/afghanistan), which the Home Office suggests is one of the safer areas of Afghanistan.
Reza has been moved to Tinsley House (Immigration Removal Centre, Gatwick) and we will be visiting him tomorrow to find out more and how he is coping. We'll also be sure to show him all the support you have been giving him.
Thank you once again for your support, it has been making a difference. Please continue to share this petition widely; not only for Reza, but for all the ex-child refugees that the Home Office is trying to deport as quickly and quietly as they can.
NB: BBC Two is currently showing a documentary series, 'Exodus: Our Journey', which makes very enlightening viewing (See http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09dh6mt)
