I am an NHS Nurse and my Family is divided. Please help bring our daughter home.
The Issue
I am writing regarding my daughter who was refused entry back into the UK, from France on 30th September 2019. She was born in Nigeria but Raised in London from the age 7, for 19 years. UK is where she had all her studies and first jobs. She went to US in 2009, her current nationality is American. Her whole family (parents and two brother) are here and are all British citizens.
She came to the UK to visit us in 2019 due to her father’s health conditions. She had been the one caring for him the most since I still have to work. Through out this pandemic, I have continued my services because I believe I am a hard worker and I care about everyone. She went to Paris to celebrate her birthday with her friend as a treat on 29th September 2019. She had also only recently received a letter which they also had a copy of, stating that the secretary of state was reconsidering her case but the boarder officers did not take that into consideration at all.
She had been through so much recently. She has also been unwell but with no one to take care of her. I’m asking if you could let my daughter come home. Here, there is family and a proper home for her to get back to herself again.
She has never had any problems. Always traveled back and forth in the past. Never overstayed, which is why we do know she will not be a problem at all.
The last we had heard from the home office was that the Secretary of State was reconsidering her case. They had said they would reply to us by December 2019, which they have not. I know we are going through a pandemic and as a NHS worker who has still been of service in this time. I have not had the opportunity to get the help from my daughter while I’m at work. She had not been able to help me with her father like she was. At a time like this she is all alone in the US without her family. She herself had fallen ill in March, yet she could not get anyone to do something as simple as get her fresh food and medication.
We thank God that she doing ok but her condition is still not very good because she has been dealing with inflammation. The last we heard is that she is now having to take antidepressants. Her being without her family who need her as much as she needs us, has been extremely hard.
Our daughter has never been a burden on the government because we are more than capable of providing for all her needs. And she is always coming with more than enough savings. She has no records, never overstayed her time. And always followed the rules. We just want our daughter home and we sincerely need your help please!
Thank you for your time and reading our story.
