Keep Jacky Collyer in the UK
Jacky Collyer and her husband Andy Carter are the owners of Darkroom Espresso, an independent coffee shop in Swindon. They started their business from scratch and contribute to the local economy by paying rates, taxes and sourcing from other local businesses. Many people go to Darkroom to meet friends or colleagues and it has become a popular place for the local community.
However you, the Home Office, ruled that they haven't earnt the specified minimum of £18,600 for sponsorship of a foreign spouse and you have ordered Jacky to leave the country. Firstly, she is Australian and Australia is a Commonwealth country. Secondly, her leaving means that her and Andy would be separated for a lengthy amount of time and continents apart. Finally, this decision means that she would have to leave the business behind. This seems unfair and unjust.
Please could you reconsider this decision and keep Jacky Collyer in the UK with her husband. Her and Andy have gone out, worked and contributed and are an asset to the community.
