We made contact with the organisation who have supported Mohammed in Athens. We have heard about how many who worked with Mohammed praised his passion to assist our armed forces during the war in Afghanistan.
We will be posting a statement from Mohammed in due course and we are also considering filming him out there to bring you his personal message.
Thank you so very much for your support and could you possibly write to your local MP to raise a question in the House of Commons on behalf of Afghan Interpreters and people like Mohammed? You can find your Member of Parliament here and also contact them through this site: https://www.mysociety.org/wehelpyou/who-is-your-mp/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-r3al92P3QIVzb_tCh09tQwaEAAYASAAEgKmHfD_BwE
You might want to raise the following question.
Today in places like Athens, Afghan interpreters who worked with our armed forces in Afghanistan are left to fend for themselves and the lives of their families are at risk in Afghanistan from the Taliban. One such individual is Mohammed Wardak.
Can the Prime Minister assure this House that all Afghan Interpreters and their families will not be left in the cold and that they will be accepted into the UK so that they can live within the country that they helped protect?
