This Friday morning brings good news! I just finished speaking to Ahmed over the phone. He informed me he was released yesterday evening, temporarily and subject to detention and deportation with no guarantee to continue his studies. He was so tired he just headed back and had a proper night of sleep. The reasons for his release are still unclear and only the solicitor can help clarify his position. He asked me to thank each and everyone of you immensely for supporting him. I will update this petition as soon as I receive new information. Let's keep in mind this battle is not over and Ahmed position is still under scrutiny by the Home Office. The number of signatures, almost 10k at the moment surely helped! Thank you everyone!
