Friends, 

I campaigner with Stop Acid Attacks. I belong to Hariyana, a state, with its skewed sex ratio, isn't the best of places for a girl to grow up. I have sensed the male supremacy — and retrogressive mindset — at every step. But I had never felt our women could be dangerous too, capable of inflicting more harm than, say, a khap panchayat.

When I did on May 26, 2012, it was too late. The face I was born with had become history — the outcome of a property dispute. I was acid attacked that day. 

I received 45% burns on my body and 90% on my face, besides losing the right eye. The acid affected the sight in my left eye too; water keeps rolling down from it if I keep it open for long hours.

The neck and the left part of my chest are mutilated. I became almost like a visually and physically impaired person. And I felt like someone else wearing a misshapen mask. 

No worries, I am still loving myself and get support from my friends at Stop Acid Attacks. Many of my friends couldn’t get this opportunity. They have no support from the Government. 

From last 7 year's on Lakshmi's PIL supreme court has been ordering the government to stop ACID ATTACK but till now neither the acid attack has reduced nor the law's suggested by the court has came into existence. Acid is selling out freely. Every year thousands of girls are burning by it.

In these circumstances, the campaigner of STOP ACID ATTACK has decided to follow the path of Gandhi j's strongest and non-voilence weapon to ask for our rights from the government. Hunger strike, yes. To raise our voice before government and people. If you agree with his idea then we request, you should dedicate atleast  your one precious day for our cause and our acid attack fighters.

Demands: 

1. The order issued by the SUPREME COURT (PIL, 18-07-14 ,LAKSHMI BANAM GOVERNMENT OF INDIA) to ban the sale of acid should be quickly followed.

2. Free and needed medical facilities. Should be available. For acid attack fighters by the government.

3. Legally these crimes should be included in the list of cruel crimes and through fast track court fighter should get justice within 3 months.

 

4. The investigation of these crimes must also be investigate by top independent committee  as well by police and police must prepare charge sheet within 15 days.

5. Government help, job and livelihood should be arranged for the acid attack victimes.

6. On on governments level , to know real statistics of acid attack victims and to help them state gov.  Should start a plan.

7. To overcome acid attack cases in hospital a proposal for training and budget should be made.

8. Low court should take an initiative to start a separate court who can quickly end up all acid attack cases (old or new).

9. In every capital of the region a budget should be passed.      to avail.the facility of plastic and cosmetic surgery.

10. By seeing Increasing number of this Cruelty mostly against women. The sate gov. Should make a law for (SOCIAL REFORMS)
