This petition is your chance to show support for Barrytown College and UTS. The UTS board meeting to decide the response to this resolution will be this Wednesday evening, on whether to cut all funding, close the school, and remove Dr. Panzer as President immediately, or by May 2015. Your voice is needed. Please sign this petition if you agree with the following statements.

Barrytown College of UTS, Unification Theological Seminary, and the surrounding property are valuable because:

•  It was founded on the vision of True Father, and has special meaning to True Parents and our members.

•  Hundreds, if not thousands, of members have poured their continued support and investment, both spiritual and financial, into this institution.

•  The vision and intent of this college is one of the answers as to how we can support second generation, and how we can effectively guide and educate them.

•  At this time, many of our second generation are leaving the church, and one of the best ways to give them moral support is to impart the teachings of our tradition through educational institutions like this.

•  A college built on Unificationist values is very useful to the church, and well worth the financial investment.

•  The continuation of this college is important for the future of our movement.

Additionally, do you agree with the following statements:

•  For us to work together on this issue, it would be mutually beneficial if there were more transparency about why the HSA is proposing to close the college. On the whole, there needs to be more communication and cooperation.

•  It would benefit the HSA if they gathered more information from Barrytown College first before making this important decision, such as personally meeting the students to hear their stories.

•  It would be more constructive if the HSA were to work with UTS, instead of against it, to smooth out the problems that we need to work on.

この嘆願書は皆さんのベリータウン大学をサポートする意思を示すために作られました。次の水曜日（12月17日）にUTS（統一神学校）重役会議でベリータウン大学の奨学金をカットし、大学を2015年5月までに閉鎖し、校長先生であるDrパンツァー先生をすぐに校長職からおろすかどうかの最終決断を下されます。あなたの声が必要です。

UTS（統一神学校）の中にあるベリータウン大学および周辺の土地は以下の理由で重要性があります。

・真のお父様のビジョンによって創立されてご父母様やメンバーにとって特別な意味のある場所です。

・数多くのメンバーたちによって今でも神霊的および金銭的に貢献され続けています。

・この大学のビジョンや目的は二世を正しく効率的に教育し、導くための大きな鍵です。

・今、数多くの二世が統一教会から離れていますが、その二世たちをサポートする一番の道は私たちの伝統や教えを教育の場によって与えることです。

・純粋なる統一理念に基づいた大学は教会にとってとても価値があり、金銭的な投資をすることに値します。

・この大学の存続は教会の未来にとって重要なことです。

・この問題に取り組んでいくにはまず、大学を閉鎖する理由としてHSA（統一教会本部）がより明白な理由を述べなければなりません。今の状態では、両者の対話と協力が特に必要です。

・まずこのような重大な決断を下す前にまずはHSA（統一教会本部）がベリータウン大学に関する情報をさらに収集することが重要です。（たとえば「生徒たちと直接会い、彼らの話を聞く」など）

・HSA（統一教会本部）がUTS（統一神学校）と対立するよりは、協力する方が私たちの目の前にある問題をより迅速に解決することができます。

Esta petición es su oportunidad para mostrar su apoyo al Barrytown College del Seminario Teológico de la Unificación (UTS en inglés). La reunión del Directorio de UTS para decidir la respuesta a esta resolución se llevará a cabo este miércoles a la noche para saber si cortarán todo el apoyo económico, cerrarán la universidad, y sacarán inmediatamente al Dr. Panzer como presidente inmediatamente o para mayo de 2015. Su voz es necesaria. Por favor firme esta petición si está de acuerdo con lo siguiente:

El Barrytown College de UTS, el Seminario Teológico de la Unificación y las propiedades alrededor son valiosos porque:

•  Fue fundado sobre la visión del Padre Verdadero, y tiene un significado especial para los Padres Verdaderos y nuestros miembros.

•  Cientos, sino miles de miembros han ofrecido su continuo apoyo e inversión, tanto espiritual como financieramente a esta institución.

•  La visión y propósito de esta universidad es una de las respuestas para de cómo apoyar a la segunda generación, y cómo guiarlos y educarlos efectivamente.

•  En estos momentos, mucho de nuestra segunda generación están abandonando la iglesia, y una de las mejores maneras para brindarles apoyo moral es impartiendo las enseñanzas de nuestra tradición a través de instituciones educacionales como esta.

•  Una universidad verdaderamente Unificacionista es muy conveniente para la iglesia, y digno de la inversión financiera.

•  La continuación de esta universidad es muy importante para el futuro de nuestra iglesia.

Además, está de acuerdo con las siguientes declaraciones:

•  Para trabajar juntos en este tema, sería mutuamente beneficioso si existiera más transparencia acerca de por qué la AES está proponiendo el cierre de la Universidad. En general, se necesita más comunicación y cooperación.

•  Beneficiaría a la AES si juntaran más información de la universidad Barrytown College primero antes de tomar una decisión tan importante, como encontrarse personalmente con los estudiantes para escuchar sus historias.

•  Sería más constructivo para la AES si trabajara con UTS en vez de contra él para resolver los problemas que necesitamos resolver.

이 청원서(petition)는 여러분에게  베리타운 대학교와 UTS(통일신학대학원)를 위한 지지를 보여드릴 기회입니다. UTS 이사회에서 이번 주 수요일에 UTS에 대한 모든 지원을 중단하고, 학교 문을 닫고, 팬저총장님이  당장 해고 될지 아니면 2015년 5월 전까지 계실지에 대한 결의안이 이 번 주 수요일에 결정 될 계획입니다. 여러분들의 목소리가 필요합니다. 다음의 진술과 동의하신다면 이 총인서를 싸인해 주세요. 

베리타운 대학교와 UTS(통일신학대학원) 그리고 둘러싸인 토지재산은  다음과 같은 가치가 있습니다:

• 참아버님의 비전 위에 설립 되었고, 참부모님와 우리 식구님들에게 특별한 의미가 담겨져 있습니다.

• 백명, 아니 수 천명의 식구님들이 이 기관에 지속적인 영적, 경제적 지지와 투자를 계속해 오셨습니다..

• 이 대학교의 비전과 목적이 2세들을 지지하고 또한 효과적으로 인도하고 교육 시킬 수 있는 하나의 해답이 될 수 있습니다.

• 이 시기에 교회를 떠나고 있는 많은 2세들에게 정신적인(신앙적인) 지지를 줄 수 있는 가장 좋은 방법 중에 하나이며 이와 같은 기관을 통하여 우리의 전통의 가르침을 전할 수 있습니다..

• 진정한 통일교인의 대학교는 교회에 매우 유용하며 경제적인 투자를 할 가치가 있습니다.

• 우리 교회의 미래를 위하여 이 대학의 지속은 중요합니다..

• 이 문제에 대해서 우리가 힘을 모으기 위해서는 이 대학교를 문 닫으려는 제의에 대한 이유에 대해서 투명성이 있는 것이 상대적으로 유익할 것입니다. 전체적으로는 더 많은 소통과 협력이 필요합니다.

• 미국협회에서 이 중요한 결정을 내리기 전에는 직접 학생들과 만나 간증을 듣는 등과같이 베리타운 대학교에 대한 정보를 모았으면 좋겠습니다.

• 미국협회와 UTS가 우리가 발전해야 할 문제에 대해서 서로 맞서는 것이 아니라 함께 해결한다면 더 건설적이 것입니다.
