Hollywood film-makers must boycott Australia for its human rights abuses.

The issue

Successive Australian governments have been holding men, women and children in deplorable concentration camp conditions. These offshore 'detention centres' where asylum seekers are sent for mandatory and indefinite 'processing' have been characterised by ongoing assaults, sexual abuses and rapes without any investigation or consequence for the guards who are perpetrating these acts.

The Australian government has been made aware of these issues and has, for years, done nothing to address them. Nothing, that is, unless you count attempting to cover it up, attacking and threatening anybody who tries to shine a light on it and continuing all the while to send more vulnerable refugees (including infants) into that environment. Staff at the facilities who report on abuse face two years in prison; journalists are not permitted access; sick and injured victims of violence, neglect and rape inside the facilities are being denied medical treatment; many, who have been incarcerated for years in these appalling conditions without having committed any crime, have attempted or committed suicide.

Nothing is being done.

It was recently announced that both Marvel Studios and Twentieth Century Fox intend to produce major films here in Australia, injecting millions of dollars into the Australian economy and thus SUPPORTING A HUMAN RIGHTS-ABUSING REGIME.

Please sign this to discourage Hollywood from investing in Australia until these inhuman policies are ended and to help raise International awareness of Australia's human rights violations that our government might be forced, finally, to cease its horrifying crimes against humanity.
