I've lived in Los Angeles for over a decade now. I've been to the Hollywood and Highland Complex more times than I can count, and yet I had no idea that this statue existed.

It's a stop on multiple Hollywood tours and it is treated more as a joke than the blatant representation of institutionalized abuse and sexism. The couch is labeled, 'The Road to Hollywood - how some of us got here.' Disgusting. Especially with the recent news of Harvey Weinstein's far reaching abuse of power and sexual assault.

This statue has no place in public. This shouldn't be the message the industry is trying to send. It is telling the millions of people who visit H&H that rape culture and holding sexual favors over others is okay and encouraged.

This is not an example of the industry I fell in love with.
