We are seeing extremely unfair actions happening in Hollis Little League! We have a little girl in the softball program who is non verbal and disabled. Her Dad has been helping her bat for the last 4 years, with no issue. Last week a parent from the opposing team made an issue with this, and now her Dad can no longer help. Rumors have been started that when approached her Dad threatened someone with a bat, untrue. Her Dad is a veteran, who served in the Iraq war. So how is he good enough to protect our country, but not be allowed on a LL field to help his daughter? In response, he has been approached by the Presidents of TWO towns in this district and the "safety officer”, yet has received no acceptable solution, other than to be told that his daughter cannot play ball with the other children, unless she does it alone. Has he been nice to them when they've contacted him? No, would you be? Is this really how Hollis Little League wants to handle this? Is there really an issue with allowing a little girl to play with her friends, like all children should? Please help us get the word out so that she can continue to do what she loves, with her biggest fan, and supporter, her Dad by her side!
