WE FINALLY GOT JUSTICE! This goes to show that our voices are powerful enough to advocate for ourselves and our community when we are wronged. I can’t even begin to thank you all enough for rallying behind me, signing the petition, reading every word I wrote, all the words of encouragement, and all the emails sent. I see your efforts. And they paid off.

Today, I proudly say that because of our efforts, not only was I nominated, I have been elected as your next Disability Representative for the ILGA Asia Board. This did not come easy. It took 3 weeks of constantly asking for clarity, and the five days at the conference pushing for accountability for us to get here.

Transparency and accountability needs to be the foundation of any election process, and that almost didn’t happen if it weren’t for your actions and efforts. Once again, I am deeply grateful. I will continue to fight for our community to be represented at a regional level.

We are here, we’re part of this movement, and we will not be left behind. Nothing about us, without us ✊🏽
