I wanted to reach out and thank you for all of your support. It was our understanding that the pier had been saved when the Town of Holden Beach purchased the pier in 2022. An election cycle has since come and gone and the newly elected commissioners have included demolition as a viable option going forward for the future of the Holden Beach Fishing Pier.
We stand against the destruction of the Holden Beach Fishing Pier without the Commissioners of Holden Beach approving a fully funded plan to replace.
Based on their action, we have resurrected the "Save the Pier" campaign and we are collecting signatures to present to the Town. There is a February 29th public input meeting scheduled at Town Hall and we would like to deliver 1,000 signatures at that time.
