Save the Holden Beach Pier!!!

It was our understanding that the pier had been saved when the Town of Holden Beach purchased the pier in 2022. An election cycle has since come and gone and the newly elected commissioners have included demolition as a viable option going forward for the future of the Holden Beach Fishing Pier.

We stand against the destruction of the Holden Beach Fishing Pier without the Commissioners of Holden Beach approving a fully funded plan to replace. 

Based on their action, we have resurrected the "Save the Pier" campaign and we are collecting signatures to present to the Town. There is a February 29th public input meeting scheduled at Town Hall and we would like to deliver 1,000 signatures at that time.

We have an opportunity to save the pier from certain destruction. 

The Bass family has created a nostalgic piece of history in this small coastal town called Holden Beach. Continual maintenance can be observed as you walk down the pier, with more needed each passing year. The pier is both iconic and useful, historical and modern, simple yet transcendent. We look forward to families spending their days at the beach, creating memories with the pier standing tall in the background.
