Hold Zachary Robertson accountable for his actions
The Issue
I never imagined I would find myself in this position, but recent events have made it necessary to speak up. Over the past few months, I have witnessed actions by Zachary Robertson that have deeply affected our community and my family personally. I believe it is crucial for him to be held accountable and for justice to prevail.
In March of 2026, Zachary Robertson was arrested and charged with 2 felony counts of child sexual abuse material, using and possessing. He was caught in the act at home, not 10 feet from his sleeping children. Likely, after close examination of his search history of the past 6 years, the incidence of internet sex crimes will make this count much higher. His Google account boasted search inquiries such as "naked pretty little girl" and "nude cuties 13", to the more heinous "nude teen pee" and "brown teen school orgy." Naked images of infants and children were discovered in his search activity, dating from 2020 to this year. This has probably gone on for much, much longer.
In addition to these crimes, Robertson has also had a "founded" CPS allegation of sexual abuse against his youngest child. He has been known to have masturbated in the bed of his children on numerous occasions, verbally abusing and manipulating the mother of his children in order to keep her from speaking out. He has verbally admitted to being sexually attracted to girls as young as 5, investing his time and energy over the years in a massive addiction to illegal pornography, ranging from infants and children, to preteens and teens, and recently discovered, innocent animals. He has admitted to viewing such illegal material while in the presence of his children, sometimes viewing it even while putting them to sleep. He was trusted with taking care of these minors, and instead, he lied and put them directly in harm's way.
Zachary Robertson has held a significant role in the Bellingham and surrounding areas alternative scene. From Chelan originally, his reach and reputation has traveled throughout much of the Pacific Northwest. He has been an active participant in community events and organizations, including the Bellingham Naked Bike Ride, Bellingham Body Rights, Food not Bombs and many others. With issues of his integrity and safety coming to light this year, it goes without saying that he is not only just another "bad actor" in the community; he has used the last decades to groom, manipulate, lie and otherwise create a false identity in order to position himself closest to vulnerable individuals. His guise of being a "safe nudist" with the aims of desexualizing nudity is now being exposed as what it is: a double life he created, so that no one would ever suspect him. Zachary Robertson would be in your homes, at your events, leading your meetings around various social justice issues, and then return home in private to digitally abuse children. Month after month, year after year. The betrayal he has caused to not only individuals in his own family but the community at large is unprecedented.
According to reports and personal accounts from those affected, his actions have not only caused distress but have also violated trust and destroyed personal lives. People have gone years vouching for Zachary, putting him in a place of leadership and integrity in the community. Yet, experiences of misconduct, unethical behavior, and consent violations have followed him around for decades. Despite this, Robertson has not been held fully accountable until now. He had never been fully truthful about his pedophilia and pornography addiction, effectively convincing his peers and community members that he is a safe individual to be around minors. Even after the events of this Spring, he attempted to deny his relationship with CSAM. That has come out since then to be not true, in a big way.
The lack of accountability sends a dangerous message that such behavior is acceptable, which cannot continue. Children, especially young girls, are among the most vulnerable in our society. Predators like him are among the most insidious and vile. Our children in this community deserve safety.
The evidence is undeniable. More than 30 pornographic photos of children were found on Zachary Robertson's laptop, as well as countless "incognito" searches of illicit and illegal pornographic materials. He has verbally admitted to having a problem sexualizing children, and has been diagnosed with pedophilic disorder and multiple paraphilias. Statistical evidence from related cases supports that perpetrators who are not held accountable often continue their wrongdoing, further endangering others. Transparency and justice must be the pillars upon which we rebuild trust within our community. For predators like Zachary, professionals say it is not an "if" but a "when"; there is no doubt he was working up to more physical sexual abuse, outside of his own home.
We are calling upon the relevant authorities to investigate these allegations thoroughly and ensure Zachary Robertson faces the appropriate penalties for his actions. If transparency and due process are prioritized, not only will justice be served, but it will also deter future misconduct.
His actions and lies have not only torn 2 families with children apart and ruined multiple close relationships with whom he built and broke trust. They also enforce the narrative that if you know how to manipulate people and create a false persona on what you want people to see, you can get away with anything. The reign of terror these men wreak upon children must stop.
