Will we even enjoy our summer days without the sun? Will I be able to get the natural Vitamin D that is so vital to our health? Perhaps these questions seem dramatic, but they are just a few of the genuine concerns surrounding the issue of sky-modification.

For those unfamiliar, sky-modification refers to the intentional alteration of the atmosphere to affect weather, temperature, and sunlight levels. While some may argue that these practices are necessary to combat climate change, the potential risks they pose, both to human health and to the environment, are far too great to ignore.

The fact that we do not fully understand the long-term impacts of releasing unknown chemicals and particulates into our skies is deeply troubling. Only God knows what those chemicals truly are and what they might be doing to us physically. The Earth has existed for 4.6 billion years and has thrived without human intervention; however, humanity's survival is directly tied to the well-being of our planet.

The secrecy surrounding sky-modification programs only adds to the urgency of the matter. We call upon Congress to hold public hearings on sky-modification, where scientists, health experts, and environmentalists can come together to provide clear, transparent information about the potential risks these programs pose to both people and nature.

Such hearings will ensure that the voices of concerned citizens, like mine, are heard and that we are all informed about the possible consequences of altering our natural skies. As constituents, we have the right to understand what is being done to our atmosphere and how it can affect us and future generations.
