This revelation has been heartbreaking, especially when I learned that he was also involved in shooting a stag, proudly declaring it an ambition fulfilled.
Fox hunting is not a tradition to be celebrated. It is a controversial act of animal cruelty that involves chasing a helpless animal until it's exhausted and either caught or killed. The Hunting Act of 2004 made such actions illegal, aiming to prevent this "sport" from being glamorized and perpetuated in today's society. Yet, the law is often sidestepped by those who engage in "trail hunting," which is sometimes used as a cover for continuing traditional hunts.
Seeing public figures like Phil Spencer partake in or even endorse such activities by their mere presence is alarming. It sends a message that undermines the values of compassion and respect for wildlife that many supporters of his work believe in. Public personalities have a powerful influence on societal norms and behaviors, making it imperative that they align with ethical practices.
