My assistant principal at Northview High School, Brian Strain, has not only disrespected me, but basically EVERYONE that I know. The countless stories i’ve heard about how disrespectful he is to students is not something that I, and others, want to deal with for the next couple years we have at this school. We all want to have a fun and stress free time, but it feels almost impossible to not have a miserable day with how interrogating this man is. He has called me and others liars when we are telling the complete truth, threatened us with write ups over little things, and is very heavy on the attendance. He has gotten on students about  missing days, with and medical note ON FILE, which is completely legal, and he’s made me move lunch tables for being to close to the special needs kids because he felt that me and the other 3 people who sat with there were going to make fun of them (which we weren’t doing at all.) The way that he approaches situations with students is not how someone should, no matter what their career is. We are all 14-18 year old kids who are learning, growing, and experiencing things and if he can’t see that mistakes will be made, and if he cannot deal with his job correctly, he should not have it at all. WE do not respect him as a principal, as he does not respect us as students. So, it would mean so much to ALL of us students if you would sign this petition in hopes that we can try to have the highschool experience we deserve.
