Please Stand With Our Family:

For more than three years, our family has reported ongoing concerns involving harassment, intimidation, trespassing, property-related incidents, disturbing flashing lights and noise, and other conduct that has made us feel unsafe in our home. Reported incidents have also involved the use or display of firearms and Tasers.
We are asking the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, Oakley Police Department, and Oakley Code Enforcement to review the evidence and reported incidents and take appropriate action. There is documented evidence of similar reported behavior involving a previous elderly couple and other incidents that may show a repeated pattern.
We ask policymakers to consider stronger protections for families experiencing repeated harassment, intimidation, trespassing, and threats, including possible changes to restraining-order laws.
We are also asking Oakley Code Enforcement and Oakley Police to review the flashing lights directed toward our home and passing drivers, including whether those lights are permitted and comply with applicable regulations.
