Kellogg’s initially promised to go cage-free in 2017. The latest high-profile pressure campaign has kept the spotlight on them and they’ve now released a glide path to cage-free eggs worldwide.
As one of the top 25 manufacturers by revenue, this updated pledge means more hens than ever are promised a cage-free future.
Cages subject hens used for eggs to a level of cruelty that consumers are increasingly refusing to support. The manufacturing sector recognises this as more than 2,400 companies — including 146 of the largest global corporations — have made cage-free egg commitments, and one-third of those companies are manufacturers.
Thank you for helping ensure Kellogg’s and PepsiCo are two such companies.
