Right now, the Supreme Court is debating whether families can hold federal law enforcement accountable when raids go horribly wrong.

Trina Martin and her 7-year-old son were sleeping when FBI agents threw a flash-bang grenade into their Atlanta home. They were looking for a suspect who lived down the street, but they raided the wrong house. Trina’s family was left traumatized, their home torn apart, and no one has taken responsibility.

No family should ever have to live through that terror. No child should ever wake up to armed agents bursting into their home because of a government mistake.

If the Supreme Court rules against accountability, it will send a dangerous message. It will tell every federal agency that innocent families can be hurt without consequence.

We are calling on the Supreme Court to stand up for the basic rights of every person in this country. Innocent families deserve protection. Innocent families deserve justice.
