I’ll send more details.** This morning I woke up and thought: What if we - the 180,000 people all over the world who signed this petition - came together to advocate for change with a unified voice to tackle problems and campaign for causes we care about? We would be a powerful community. Zuckberberg was just the tip of the iceberg. What about Jeff Bezos and the workers in Amazon distribution centres trying to earn a living whilst working in poor conditions? What about Tim Cook and the children as young as 8 working in mines to provide minerals for $1,000 iPhones? We cannot just rely on signing a petition. One thing we can do is start building a new union of citizens to hold technology companies to account. How? To ensure this is a citizen-led initiative, the first step is to come together to build a Global Agenda outlining the problems we want to tackle and how we’ll respond.
