The Issue

We, the citizens, parents, and taxpayers of Cobb County, call for the immediate resignation of John Cristadoro, Post 5 member of the Cobb County School Board.

Cristadoro took office in January 2025 despite a pending lawsuit filed against him in March 2024, tied to his business operations.

During his campaign, he presented himself as a successful business executive who would bring “a balanced-budget approach” and “fiscal responsibility” to the district. In his official candidate profile, he described himself as “President and CEO of Alliance Activation,” a multimillion-dollar marketing firm, and claimed that his business experience “will enable our schools to look at issues from 30,000 feet and provide wise leadership.”

He also stated on his official website that “our community needs a leader who will lead with integrity and is responsive to our community” and promised to apply those values if elected.

Yet despite promoting transparency and integrity as core principles, Cristadoro failed to disclose his ongoing legal issues to voters while continuing to seek public trust.

Now that the court records and filings have become public, the community deserves clarity and leadership that truly models the honesty and accountability we expect from our students.

We demand that the Cobb County Board of Education:

1. Publicly address the judgment and any ethical investigations related to Cristadoro’s conduct.

2. Adopt a transparency and disclosure policy requiring all current and future board members to report any active lawsuits, bankruptcies, or business conflicts.

3. Rebuild community trust by committing to higher standards of transparency, governance, and communication.

4. Fully cooperate with any state-level investigations or reviews should they arise.

Accountability starts at the top. If board members cannot uphold the standards they impose on our students and educators, they should not be allowed to lead our schools.

Sign this petition to demand Cristadoro’s resignation and the restoration of integrity to our school system.
