Hold Chris Minns accountable for police brutality against Sydney protesters

The issue

At a peaceful protest against the visit of the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog and the genocide in Gaza, NSW police violently assaulted members of the crowd, including people engaged in prayer, and many standing stationery and not breaking any laws. Indeed, many were attacked without being provided with clear direction or the opportunity to disperse. Police were silent and engaged in kettling. As can be seen from footage - photos and videos - that have emerged police punched, kicked, and pepper sprayed the crowd. This unacceptable police brutality. It demands an independent inquiry and an unreserved public apology from the NSW Premier, Chris Minns, the Police Commissioner, Mal Lanyon, and the NSW Police Minister, Yasmin Catley.
