Imagine arriving home to see a bloodbath in your front yard, and your mini horse and farm animals that you treat with love and care as you would your own children were mauled and killed, while the culprits with blood on their coats are trying to jump over the fence…
That’s what my friend Michelle Gomez had to experience last week. Her mini horse Lilly has been buried and her animals badly injured.
Hi, my name is Ashley Martinez, and I am here asking for help for my friend, Michelle Gomez.
Michelle is a strong, compassionate individual who has dedicated her life to helping others. She has been instrumental in helping solve numerous cases and as a Skip Tracer has given families closure in locating their missing loved ones. Her sense of justice and courage knows no bounds. Her animals, who provide her with unconditional love and support, are central to her life.
If you have ever been a victim of domestic violence, assault, or abuse, you may understand the deep bond and compassion one can have for their animals. They offer solace and never cause harm.
Why must it take a dog harming a human for action to be taken? Animals are living beings that are practically children to millions of people across the globe, they too deserve protection and care. If an animal or dog kills another animal it will likely kill a human too.
Despite Michelle’s efforts to seek help, her pleas have gone unanswered. This is why I am stepping in to support her.
Unfortunately, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office has failed to protect Michelle or her animals, leaving her feeling victimized and distraught.
We are seeking justice for Lilly and advocating for change, and support for others who may face similar situations in the future.
We are asking for your help to sign a petition and contribute to our fund so we can advocate for changes in the law to ensure that animal owners are held accountable for their pets’ actions. With your generous donations, we hope to:
1. Hire an Attorney: Retain a lawyer who specializes in animal law to help navigate the legal system, and advocate for Michelle’s rights.
2. File a Civil Suit: Pursue a civil lawsuit against the neighbor for neglect and any damages caused by the dogs.
|
3. Press Criminal Charges: Work with law enforcement and the district attorney to press criminal charges for animal cruelty and neglect.
4. Petition for Law Changes: Support a campaign for legislative changes, including hiring lobbyists and organizing community events.
5. Animal Rescue and Care: Rescue and care for the neglected dogs, partnering with local animal shelters or rescue organizations.
6. Community Awareness: Launch a public awareness campaign to educate the community about animal neglect and the importance of reporting such cases.
7. Support Services: Provide support services for Michelle, such as counseling and security measures for her property.
8. Legal Defense Fund: Establish a legal defense fund to assist others in similar situations.
We cannot do this without your help, and I will do whatever is necessary to make sure Michelle comes out stronger and has security in knowing her animals are safe.
If you cannot donate, please contact your local news and let them know what’s going on in Caldwell County, Texas. I want to make my friend’s tears the loudest on the map because I know she is not the only one that Caldwell County has let down.
Our sheriff is Mike Lane. I was beside Michelle during the debate forum, as she cried her tears begging Mike Lane to do something. He shook his head and pretended to care, but where is he now?
Where are our leaders when we need them?
Your support can make a significant difference in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. Thank you for your generosity and compassion and signature.
