This is the photo of my eldest son holding Milo‘s hand before us agreeing to the life support being switched off.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank those of you who have signed this petition since my last update. It is a tragic story but this is not about Milo as such. I am trying to raise the need for hospitals to be more closely scrutinized by Government and to be monitored.
There are too many occurrences now of people dying and suffering unnecessarily in our hospitals. There are too many errors happening without justification. Too many mistakes that could be prevented.
I wish I could write to each of you who have written comments. My heart truly goes to those who have suffered similar experiences and my huge thanks to those who have sent me messages about Milo.
I would like everyone to know that this is not about Milo but as a result of. I do not want anyone to have to suffer like me and I really want crucial changes to be made, to protect us, our families and our future generations. To protect the elderly and the vulnerable.
We all have a right to correct care. A lack of funds is, of course, a problem but not an excuse for anyone not receiving correct care.
There are many errors occurring regardless of funds. Milo was admitted during Covid and I was allowed to go with him because of his incoherence. There were no Covid patients on the ward. Doctors still watching their phones, chatting with their friends…etc etc.
I really do not wish to make this petition about my personal situation but for it to be for all of us because it should matter to all of us and our wellbeing.
PLEASE KEEP SHARING THIS PETITION SO THAT I CAN GET IT TO PARLIAMENT.
Again, reading all comments, I have shed many tears and again I cannot write to you but my email is: ghalwagi@me.com should anyone wish to communicate with me directly.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
With love,
Gi x
