I've been an avid wearer of the Hoka Speedgoat 4 for the last five years. My six pairs have gotten me through thousands of miles and endured a broad spectrum of terrains. When the Speedgoat 5 came out, I wasn't yet in need of new shoes. But over the last year and a half, my 4s have finally started to show signs of wear and will soon need replacing.

As someone with wide feet, I'm particularly fond of the Speedgoat fit and the way it accommodates the need for extra space in the toe box. I eagerly ordered a pair of Speedgoat 6's, but was quickly disappointed by the snug toe box (even though I ordered a 'wide' size) and stiff upper. After taking a closer look at reviews online, it's clear to me that there is a similar sentiment expressed by other trail runners -- the Speedgoat 4 is the best, the 5 is okay, and the 6 is bad. My hope with this petition is to convince Hoka to bring back the Speedgoat 4. It's the best trail shoe I've ever worn, and I'd literally pay anything to get my hands on another pair of 6.5Ds.
