Brad Aldrich removed from the Stanley Cup

TSN has confirmed that Brad Aldrich's name has been x'd out on the cup as of Sunday, when the names of the 2021 winners were added.

There are 100 of you that have signed this petition so far. Some of you might take this development as a win -- and it is certainly a start -- but the league still has work to do.

The 2010 Blackhawks spent ten years hiding their failure to protect Kyle Beach and Brad Aldrich's future victims. Not only did they fail, they chose winning over compassion, empathy, and common human decency.

Over the last week, we've seen a lot of flowery language from a lot of important people in the league, but very few of those words have been translated into action. Gary Bettman gave a press conference that was, at the very best disappointing, and, at its worst -- hostile.

The 2010 Stanley Cup was won while the Blackhawks organization stood on the neck of Kyle Beach. They sacrificed him to build what they had for the last ten years. This is not okay.

The HHOF and the NHL must do more work to show that, while they do not support sexual abuse, they also do not support the ignorance of inaction.

Remove the 2010 Blackhawks from the Cup -- in full.
