Stagecoach residents started this petition to HOA Board Members

We are presenting this petition to the HOA Board of Stagecoach and to FirstService in response to the increase in quarterly dues to fund a budget not subject to homeowner approval but which contains an increase of 42%-58%. The following homeowners residing in the community of Stagecoach, OPPOSE the 2021 budget received which proposes an increase of $85 to $116 per quarter and which is set to become effective January 1, 2021. The following residents request a review of the year's expenditures and seek a new budget proposal for the following reasons:

1. The neighborhood feels the HOA Board’s decision to increase monthly dues does so without considering the current economic situation.

2. The neighborhood has not been provided transparency on where dues have and are currently being spent and no audit of the previous budget has been provided.

3. The neighborhood sees this budget as excessive and believes the HOA can cut back in certain areas so an increase (especially of this size and at this time) does not have to occur.

4. The neighborhood at large does not feel it was given any voice in the subject of budget increase and does not approve of the future budget proposal in its present state.

As such, the community wishes to conduct a town meeting consisting of members and giving homeowners a chance to express thoughts on the budget and other matters of concern. A representative will provide feedback to both parties once an agreement has been reached and accepted by both parties. We, the community of Stagecoach, trust the board will consider all points of view that were already brought to attention and hope that this petition and the feedback provided are taken into serious consideration.

Sincerely, The Stagecoach Community
