Animal cruelty is a Crime yet it is considered as low level and not an indictable offence (cannot go to Crown Court), which means the maximum sentence that can be imposed is only 6 months.

Research clearly demonstrates that mis-treating animals is a warning sign that others in the household may not be safe, there are significant correlations between animal abuse & other forms of inter personal violence. Often pets are violated & abused to threaten & cause fear to other family members including children & this has to stop.

Cruelty, Abuse & Neglect of animals is a despicable & cowardly Crime as animals are vulnerable, innocent victims who are unable to speak out.
