The Issue
Let’s give this series a proper revival on television that it deserves cause This year 2022, this deserves a television revival because It’s the viewed as the number one most preschool show on public television.

Why It should get Revived for new content.
- The show promotes strong positive messages about friendship, teamwork, cultural appreciation and problem solving. It also emphasizes active play.
- Barney is a very appealing role model for little kids with his friendly and optimistic personality & still is.
- Catchy songs that help encourages kids to stay active.
- Baby Bop (green) and BJ (yellow) are really cute.
- Scooter McNutty and Miss Etta Kette are hilarious as puppets.
- Some of the merchandise released during the show’s success were creative, even it’s beginning days in 1992 or pre-1992 or 1991 and after the series ended.
- Good acting from the child actors.
- Speaking of which, it served as a launchpad for many well known actresses and/or singers today including Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Debby Ryan, and Mattison Pettis.
- The show sometimes tackles serious topics such as disability. One of the kid characters is deaf and wears a hearing aid, and another has down syndrome.
- Some funny moments here and there.
- The show itself even had its own adaption produced in Israel from 1997-2000 as "Hachaverim Shel Barney" (החברים של ברני) and Korea as "Baniwa Chingudeul" (바니와 친구들) from 2001-2003.
- While most songs were somewhat annoying (depending on your view), there is some songs that were actually less annoying and heartwarming such as "It's Good to Be Home," (originally a replacement for I Love You) which Barney thinks that his kids and the viewers feels very special to him, whenever you're alone, and need to be loved at.

36.It teaches us values, social skills, the alphabet, imagination, sharing, caring, etc.! And we need this for kids nowadays! I know we got Sesame Street, but Barney is also a unique show as well! Because with a little imagination, almost anything will happen! And honestly though, I don't care what the haters say! Haters are gonna hate!
