Dear colleagues, RACGP members 

I’m reaching out not just as a doctor, but as a fellow human being deeply concerned about the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

In times like these, our silence can be interpreted as indifference. I’ve penned a letter to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), urging them to take a stand and advocate for those whose voices are being silenced.

I’m asking for your support. Please sign this petition to back the letter to the RACGP and show that our community stands for humanity and justice.

call on the RACGP to:

      1.    Publicly affirm the right of general practitioners to speak on humanitarian crises—including Gaza—without fear of AHPRA retaliation.

      2.    Join international bodies such as the AMA and WMA in condemning the destruction of healthcare infrastructure and the killing of medical staff in war zones.

      3.    Demand the protection of freedom of conscience for Australian doctors who act lawfully, ethically, and in good faith.

      4.    Recognise the grave moral precedent: silence now risks aligning the College with past institutional failures to speak during mass atrocity.
