The following petition is in order to help the mother of political prisoner Leandro Cerezo Sirut to obtain reliable proof of her son's life. Leandro born  08/16/1986 is currently serving a life sentence at K8 , Camaguey CUBA.

The last time Leandro's family was able to visit  him was in November of 2020. Since then the authorities at the prison have use the pandemic crisis as an excuse to prevent  his family from seeing him, even from a  distance and with a negative test for the Covid-19 virus. The family  has not been allowed  to speak with  the prisoner by phone , and they are getting confusing and contradictory reports about his health status. The authorities at the prison have refused to allow a Catholic Priest , who attends and serve prisoners at the facility to provide spiritual assistance to Leandro. The priest has requested information about the inmate's health condition and medical treatment with not sucess. 

We request  the help of HUMAN RIGHTS organizations around the world  and we implore the help of  His Holiness Pope Francis to mediate with the Cuban government authorities in order to obtain authentic verification of the life of this young man.  His mother needs to verify that he is receiving  adequate medical treatment for  his suspected deteriorated medical condition. 

We trust that with the power granted  by the  institutions you represent, you can help the  desperate mother of Leandro, Mrs. Maria Sirut to obtain proof of life of her son

La siguiente peticion, es con el objetivo de ayudar a la madre del prisionero politico Alejandro Cerezo Sirut a obtener prueba  feahciente de vida de su hijo.  Alejandro, nacido 08/16/1986, cumple una condena de cadena   perpetua en la Carcel K8, localizada en Camaguey, CUBA. 

La ultima vez que la familia de Leandro pudo visitarlo fue en Noviembre del 2020. Desde entonces las autoridades del penal han usando la crisis de la pandemia actual para impedir  que lo vean, ni siquiera a distancia y con un resultado  negativo de la prueba del virus Covid-19.  No se le ha permitido a la familia hablar por telefono con el prisionero, e incluso se han negado a dejar que un sacerdote que atiende y sirve a los presos de este penal, lo visite. Este sacerdote ha pedido informacion acerca de la condicion de salud y tratamiento que se administra al prisionero, y tampoco ha podido obtener informacion confiable. 

Solicitamos  la ayuda de las organizaciones que velan por los DERECHOS HUMANOS alrrededor del mundo. Imploramos la ayuda del Santo Padre Francis, para que medien con las autoridades gubernamentales de Cuba, y asi obtener una verification autentica de la vida de este joven,  necesitamos verificar si  recibe el tratamiento medico necesario para su ya sospechado deteriorado estado de salud. 

Confiamos que con el poder que les otorga las instituciones que uds representan  puedan  ayudar a la desesperada madre de Leandro Cerezo Sirut, la señora Maria Sirut a obtener fe de vida de su hijo. Apreciamos de antemano todos los esfuerzos que dediquen a esta causa.
