We the students and graduates of Sacred Heart School, Alexandria, Egypt ask for your help and support in saving our school in continuing the ministry of Sister Veronice there.

Sacred Heart School is a British Catholic school that was established in 1924 under the ministry of the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception and ever since has been an institution of academic excellence and professional learning as well as social commitment, civic awareness and open-mindedness.

Sister Veronice has been in charge for almost 40 years now and has maintained and enhanced the excellence of the school even in difficult times and with scarce resources. Now at a time when the school needs her most, her community wants her to leave as she is the only nun left and we are told that the school will be turned over to another community.

Your Holiness, as a strong supporter of education we ask for your help in supporting Sister Veronice in her continued ministry and sending more nuns from her community to assist her and learn from this great lady. The current students and future generations need her to create the material and spiritual conditions for their full development; to give them a solid basis on which to build their lives. Without her Sacred Heart School is nothing.
