Declare Padre Pio the patron saint of people with life-threatening food allergies

The Issue

Over 250 million people around the world have food allergies, but the Catholic Church has no saint dedicated to people with this life-threatening condition. Every three minutes, someone in the United States goes to the emergency room with a severe reaction, and in the United States, at least 200 people die every year from a food allergy reaction. It is the custom of the Catholic Church to have saints dedicated to people with various ailments or medical conditions, yet there is no patron saint for people with food allergies.  St. Padre Pio is a saint who was known for his great compassion towards people in need of prayers and assistance. Countless confirmed miracles have been performed through his intercession. Please sign and ask Pope Francis to declare St. Padre Pio the patron saint of people with severe food allergies!
