Dear All,

A brave IDF soldier, Elor Azaria, was arrested and charged was manslaughter a mere few months ago. He was arrested because he had shot dead a wounded Palestinian terrorist who had attacked IDF soldiers prior to the incident. 

Unfortunately, to all our surprises, Elor was found guilty of manslaughter by an Israeli court. He was not given a fair trial since he had already been called so many bad adjectives by the top IDF officials prior to his trial. That should have largely blurred the judgment of the court against Elor. 

By imprisoning Elor, you will set a dangerous precedent. A precedent that will make soldiers less likely to defend their country; a precedent that will encourage Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists to attack and kill more and more innocent Israeli citizens; a precedent that will give the leftwing legal system more justifications to abandon the heroes of Israel. We have already seen a consequence of his conviction. Only yesterday, a Palestinian truck driver plowed into a group of innocent young IDF soldiers and killed four and injured many more. Not a single soldier dared to shoot the terrorist for the fear of getting arrested and convicted. Attacks like this and reactions like this are more than likely to follow if Elor is put behind bars. 

Please take action and show sympathy for this brave hero. His Excellency President Rivlin please use your wisdom and apply good judgment and pardon Elor Azaria!
