Save the icons at The Church of Our Saviour!

Between 2004 and 2010, artists Ken Woo, Camille Qi Woo and Donal Murray created 31 extraordinary icons for the sanctuary at the Roman Catholic Church of Our Saviour in New York City. Together, in their proper context in the church, the works form a stunning masterpiece of sacred art, the greatest work of contemporary sacred art in New York City, and perhaps in the USA. Its centerpiece is a magnificent 28' foot high Christ Pantocrator, gazing serenely out towards the congregation, inspiring prayer and contemplation in countless souls every day. This work, costing roughly $100,000, was financed by the generous contributions of ordinary men and women - everyday parishioners and friends of the parish.

Now, only a few short years after its completion, this exquisite work of art is being dismantled by the newly appointed pastor of the parish, Father Robert Robbins, who claims to want to "restore" the church to how it looked when it was built in the 1950s.
