Get Hillsdale NJ Council to Change & Accept Racial Equality Committee

The Issue

It has come to some attention that  Mayor John Ruocco and the current Hillsdale town council have quietly denied the petition from residents to have a Diversity & Inclusion Committee in this town.

Growing up in Hillsdale and returning briefly during the pandemic-Ive seen how many can turn a convenient eye away from social issues under the cover of our “nice suburban” town. Well there is a time to start looking how to push forward and it starts in our hometowns.

This also is following these hateful local incidents right here in Hillsdale during the 2020 Election :https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnewyork.com/investigations/nj-residents-say-theyre-being-targeted-for-harassment-over-blm-lawn-signs/2631337/%3famp

Sign this petition to get Hillsdale on the right track and put racial justice at the forefront of our town.

We have to hold our local officials accountable. Why do these members want to keep this town steps away from progress? What are they afraid of? Inclusion and Awareness are the way to a better town for everyone.

Please email the local council and hold them accountable to standards I know many truly believe in!
