Countryway Blvd. (between Linebaugh Ave. and Race Track Rd.) has become extremely dangerous to drive on due to the horrible condition of the road.  The people of the surrounding community have repeatedly filed complaints with Hillsborough County and Commissioner Kemp's office, only to be told for 17 months now that the road will be re-paved.  We were told this would begin in September 2018 and now it won't happen until possibly December 2018. Hillsborough County has not awarded the contract for the re-paving yet.  The decision to award the business is not scheduled to happen until October 2018.  It is uncertain when the awarded company will begin working on the road. 

Meanwhile, the citizens of this community continue to be put at risk every day by continuing to drive on this hazardous roadway.  To make matters worse, Deer Park Elementary has children being driven every day to school on this road.  

It is completely unacceptable that the roadway continues to just be patched up, only to have the pot holes re-open every time it rains (which is every day in the summer months).  This petition is being signed by the citizens of the Westchase area communities to request that Hillsborough County expedite fixing this issue that has gone on for over 17 months now.
