Dear Supporter As I opened my front door this morning, I was greeted with the unmistakable odour of tar and felt anger but what makes me even angrier and what spurs me on, is that a member of the community was diagnosed with lung cancer and recently passed away. The family know that it cannot be conclusively proven that the emissions from FM Conway are the cause of the cancer but the noxious fumes were most certainly an unwelcome intrusion into their home, at a time when their loved one was terminally ill. I am driven because they should have been able to pass away with complete dignity and not endure FM Conway’s suffocating fumes. Would those in authority or Michael Conway CBE like it if their loved ones, had this experience at their end of life? I am infuriated that the fumes are perceived by FM Conway and Berkeley Homes as a nuisance and unless FM Conway is brought to account, I fear that many other members of our community will succumb to a shortened lifespan. Please continue to sign and share the petition and if you are local, turn up to Ealing Council’s meeting on 20th February when the petition will be heard at 7.15pm. If you live in Hillingdon, press your local councillors to give the IRATE Campaign a petition hearing date. Thank you for your support.
