Dear Supporter
The Insistent Residents Against Toxic Emissions (IRATE) campaign, cautiously welcomes Cllr Julian Bell's (leader of Ealing Council) intention to speak to his counterpart, Cllr Ray Puddifoot, leader of Hillingdon Council about the toxic emissions from FM Conway.
Julian Bell will also accompany Dr Onkar Sahota, GLA AM for Ealing and Hillingdon, Virendra Sharma MP for Ealing and Southall and John McDonnell MP for Hayes and Harlington, on a site visit to FM Conway in Hayes.
No timescale was given for these developments, so IRATE urges you to continue sharing the petition, to keep the pressure on those in authority.
I am heartened to see from postings about the correlation between air pollution and low birth weight babies and the smog in Delhi, on his Facebook newsfeed, that Julian Bell has an interest in both the environmental and health impacts of air pollution.
You can read a more detailed account about IRATE's involvement in the Southall AGM on https://iratecampaign.wordpress.com/2017/12/06/irates-voice-at-the-southall-agm/
