As a result of information shared by Ealing council regarding the meeting that took place on 23rd June, residents had a number of questions which Ealing have responded to. A resident has posed the same questions to Hillingdon and we are awaiting their response. A summary of what Ealing has shared; The independent consultant has recently been engaged in an advisory capacity and will visit other plants in addition to FM Conway, in order to come up with a report which will indicate the compliance status for facilities under Hillingdon's jurisdiction. The formal scope of works and milestones for reporting is not known at this stage by Ealing. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the public may have a general right of access to the final report. Ealing will aim to advise Hillingdon of residents' questions about off site air sampling, dispersion modelling, and analysis of harmful and carcinogenic chemicals, as referred to in Public Health England's (PHE's) report. FM Conway is planning to change the carbon filter equipment, even though this is less than 2 years old but they will undertake monitoring before they do this and after installation to monitor efficiency. Rerouting of vents, should be completed in the next 4 weeks. During the heatwave we are experiencing at the moment, the emissions are even more noticeable, early morning and late evening, forcing residents to close their windows, despite the high temperatures. If you are affected, please report to either Hillingdon council or Ealing council, to reduce the risk of under reporting. It is essential that our experiences of the odour shows up in the statistics.
