We believe that a life skills course should be available at Hillcrest High School, so that students are able to obtain the necessary skills such as, managing finances, job preparation, health care, etc. The senior students at Hillcrest High School have been questioned about the need for a life skills course to be implemented into our school program, and the results of this research show that 71% of these students do not feel prepared for the new responsibilities that come after leaving high school. Along with these statistics, 93.5% of those who were surveyed believed that school should prepare them better for these responsibilities after high school, with 92.6% saying that they would be interested in attending a life skills course at school.
