Travelling from Winnipeg to Gimli and back is extremely treacherous on Highway 8 with near misses common from people trying to pass multiple cars. Each year seems to get worse. Summer weekends are especially dangerous when tourist traffic is heavy. Highway 8 needs passing lanes from St. Andrews where it becomes single lane to Gimli. Instead of complaining on social media let’s present this petition to Lisa Naylor, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure for Manitoba and ask for action.
