Shut down the red hedgehog

The Issue

The red hedgehog is a supposed music and arts venue in Highgate. Inside it is dark and clammy and smells of stale urine. The owner was very scatty while I was there she began shouting at a customer for knocking over her tray of cheap red wine that she tried to sell for £6 a glass! Some children were meant to put on a show at this venue and were really upset when they walked in and saw the state of the venue as they had been excited about their first performance that they had been rehearsing for months. When my daughter went backstage to get changed into her costume we found that there was no door separating the changing room from the back alley of a row of shops. This was disgraceful and I feared for my daughters safety as anyone could walk in off the street onto her changing. The changing room also had shattered mirrors and glass all over the floor in addition to the pile of leaves that had accumulated on the floor due to the lack of an adequate door and the chilly February wind whistling through the room. The lighting in this sad excuse of a thearte was all completely broken which was actually a good thing as we could not see the amount of dust floating around the cramped audience area. But we could certainly hear the effects of this dust as most of the people involved in the production had a hacking cough. The owner was also very impatient and slammed an audience members hand in the toilet door while he was turning on the light (which was located on the outside of the toilet?!?!?) All in all it was a terrible experience and I do not feel that this is a safe environment for people to be performing or even spending time in. Thank you and I hope some of you can also share in my concerns.
