A large number of residents in South Fulton expressed issues over excessively high water bills. These same concerns were expressed among South Fulton residents approximately two years ago and it appears the problem continues or has resurfaced despite reports of no leaks or water source damages. Residents have reported charges that have doubled or more than tripled from what is average in their households with no apparent cause for the increase. Because of these occurrences, residents of South Fulton are generating a petition to respectfully request leaders in the City of Atlanta to conduct an investigation independent from the Department of Watershed Management to examine causes of high water bills. If this issue can not be resolved with the City of Atlanta, residents of South Fulton will request an investigation regarding the high water bills from state and federal agencies.
