As some of you may know, Meade County High School is having a drive through graduation. Only immediate family members are allowed in the car with their senior. Some seniors have divorced or separated parents. If they were to have their immediate family in the car with them, this could potentially spread the virus we are all trying to avoid, Covid-19. Breckinridge County High School had an awesome idea of providing seniors with time slots and allowing a certain number of family members spread out in the auditorium to watch their senior still walk the stage. I believe this is a more safe option because the parents and family members could be there and practice safe social distancing while wearing masks. Seniors will also still be able to walk across the stage like their siblings or parents did (Information from Meade and Breckinridge County High School Facebook page). Please sign if you think Meade should look into Breckinridge County’s way of honoring the Class of 2020 in graduation instead of the drive through graduation that Meade currently is wanting to do.
