The High Park Movement staff have indicated there will be a Public Meeting (Virtual) in September; so far, no date has been announced.

HPMS MEETING: Fall 2026 to Winter 2027: Detailed design - this map is from the presentation at the last High Park Movement Strategy Stakeholders Meeting, a meeting that was poorly advertised and attended.
The map indicates a dedicated cycle path on West Road and Colborne Lodge Drive, along with a new path through the north part of Grenadier Parking Lot. This plan removes another 20 plus parking spaces, restricts pedestrian crossings to designated points, eliminates traffic calming measures such as Stop Signs, and will attract more high-speed cyclists.
These changes will seriously affect pedestrian mobility within the park while making it dangerous for pedestrians due to speeding cyclists. Visitors will only be able to cross West Road and Colborne Lodge Drive at designated crossings, thus creating longer walks between park venues which will affect both safety and mobility. It should be noted that on West Road between the Sports Fields and The Grenadier there is no Pedestrian Crossing for the “Baseball Field” Bus Stop.
Should the proposed plans proceed, High Park will be less pedestrian friendly and as the cycling community still campaign to have the speed limit in High Park raised, it could become perilous.
There should be great Bike Lanes throughout High Park, but no Racetrack - build a velodrome somewhere else.
It seems visitors will not be welcome in High Park as it becomes less and less accessible and no longer open to all.
High Park should be for everyone...
