Arresting a doctor or any professional caregiver upon the mere allegation of sexual molestation by a patient is inhuman and discourages doctors from practicing medicine the way it should be. Doctors need to touch their patients to understand and diagnose any illness. The appropriateness of such touching will depend on the suspected disease. Therefore, the interpretation of such touching as being 'sexual molestation' can only be made after the course of events and outcomes have been established. Every doctor must be given the right to explain his course of examination with supportive evidence before they are put into jail with common criminals. No doctor or professional caregiver who needs to diagnose ailments by approaching and touching patients should be subject to arrest without such molestation being proven in a court of law. The concerned professional can always be asked to attend court sessions or give evidence to prove his innocence, but not arrested unless proven guilty.
