Solid Snake and Big Boss(AKA Naked Snake) are gaming icons. Maybe even an Icon for an entire generation of gamers. These two men are VERY intricate characters born of the same being, but of yet two completely different personalities. Two VERY different people played by the same insanely talented man who can bring the very detailed and different characters of these two men to life with two distinctly different voices that are similar yet not the same.

We know that Big Boss's voice eventually deteriorates and changes into what we see in MGS4. But the change should not be so sudden and CERTAINLY his voice should NOT AGE BACKWARDS after coming out of a coma. And sound COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. (Especially considering the Ground Zeroes part starts 9 Days after Peace Walker ends. )

David Hayter is a great writer and an even more amazing Actor and voice actor.
From The Guyver, to Mobile Suit Gundam 0080, to X-Men: Evolution, to Metal Gear.
No one else knows these two characters and understands how to play them to their very core as completely different people than David Hayter. He has played them for over 15 YEARS. Sit on that for a moment. 15 years.

This is akin as if you replaced:
Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard in Star Trek The Next Generation. Or William Shatner as Kirk.(not counting reboot)

Harrison Ford as Indianna Jones in Indianna Jones

Eric Braeden as Victor Newman,Doug Davidson as Paul Williams and Jeane Cooper as Catherine Chancellor on The Young and The Restless.

Charles Martinet as Mario and Luigi in Nintendo's Mario Series.

Jen Taylor as Cortana in Halo.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger in Harry Potter.

James Earl Jones as Akakin Skywalker/Darth Vader,Frank Oz as Yoda (In the films), Harrison Ford as Han Solo,Anthony Daniels as C-3PO,Mark Hamil as Luke Skywalker,etc, in Star Wars.

Keanu Reaves as Neo in The Matrix.

Steve Blum as Spike in Cowboy Bepop.

Johnny Yong Bosch as Vash The Stampede in Trigun.

Sigourney Weaver as Ripley in Alien.

Peter Cullen as the original Optimus Prime in Transformers.

Seth MacFarlane as almost every character in his shows.

Elizabeth Daily as Tommy Pickles in The Rugrats.

Mel Blanc as basically the origin every Looney Toons character.

This change literally makes 0 logical sense AT ALL. I dont' care(i'm sure i'm not the only one) if this person is some BIG Hollywood actor. This person ISN'T Big Boss. Nor Solid Snake. There is only ONE MAN who is these characters.(Aside from Big Boss when he's much older)

David Hayter.

David Hayter is as Iconic as the characters he has portrayed for over 15 years.

It makes 0 sense to replace him as either character.(Minus to the point where Big Boss gets much much older. Like 1995;Metal Gear 1; Older or is introduced to Solid Snake for the first time).

(My thoughts)

Personally as a person who's favorite Video Game Franchise of all time is Metal Gear, this is where I DRAW THE LINE. I've put up and defended Metal Gear to no end for years. I've put up with or defended all the retcons, changes from people complaining, characters that people didn't like, continuity issues,translation issues, mangled online modes,mangled and missed opportunities in HD ports, spin-offs. Everything.

But i've had enough. Now it's MY turn to complain about something. That GREATLY affects Metal Gear as a whole. Without David Hayter, there is no Big Boss or Solid Snake. You might as well just go back to text without voices like in the original Metal Gear games.

It's David Hayter or nothing.

Unless he is brought back. I will NOT be buying MGSV. (Or at least provide a logical and realistic reason why Big Boss's voice is no longer Hayter to us. We can't go on nothing)

Unless you get Richard Doyle to play him . Don't even bother. I don't care how famous the person is.
